City of Pflugerville Comprehensive Master Plan
The scope of services for this project consisted of developing guidelines through graphic and written language by which the City of Pflugerville could continue to grow and control its city boundaries of ± 37,000 acres. As project coordinators, Land Strategies, Inc. developed a program to analyze the tremendous growth issues which faced the City, ranging from quality of life, to transportation, to economic viability.

By developing zoning and land use strategies, open space planning also became an evident avenue to bring a sense of community and connectivity back to the city. Utilizing the Gilleland Creek system, open space plans were integrated as linkages into the master land use plan. Land Strategies created a Comprehensive Land Use Projection through 2010, dealing with issues of water, wastewater, and transportation analysis. The City incorporated this AutoCAD plan into its development process for decision-making policy. Not only was the plan adopted by the City but was also awarded the 1998 Professional Planning Award by the Central Texas Section of the American Planning Association.
